The Last Tapir is set in a retro future where a fast paced world marvels at creatures that have come and gone. Viewers are brought into a museum setting to witness and acknowledge the failures of conservation and corruption. The painting sits on a lone art deco stand to show luxury, but is then contrasted with a soulless void of a background.
